Symptoms

The printed part is pressed, and the height of the model (initial layers) is lower than expected.

Possible Causes

  1. Build platform Z-axis level is incorrect, the 4 regulating screws of build platform are loose.
  2. The slide switches status of motor driver is modified by mistake.


Diagnostic Steps

  1. Build platform Z-axis level is incorrect, the 4 regulating screws of build platform are loose.
    Diagnosis: The 4 loose regulating screws will make the build platform level be lower, the initial layers will be under greater pressure during printing, causing the initial layers to become thinner.
    Solution: Recalibrate correctly the level of build platform.

Note: After changing build platform and/or LCD screen, it is necessary recalibrate the build platform level.
  1. The slide switches status of motor driver is modified by mistake.
    Diagnosis: The slide switches status of motor driver is modified, that changed the motor movement accuracy.
    Solution: Reset the default slide switches status.

When distributor technicians need to open the printer casings to inspect or repair the internal components of printer, do not touch the motor driver slide button.
