1.Designing aligner model
Complete the design of teeth arrangement and braces in DAD software and export .stl model.
2.Import into UNIZ Dental V2 software and slicing
select the Direct Aligner application, and choose the appropriate printer and parameters.
Import the Aligner file into z Dental V2 software. Depending on whether the aligner covers a gum design, refer to the following figure for placement angles. Manually place the Aligner to the appropriate position by operate the manipulator.
When adding support, set the Lift Height to 4mm. Use the system default parameters to add automatic support for the Aligner. The software will automatically place the Aligner and use the most appropriate parameters.
Slice the model.
Click the "Save" button and save the file with the name you want.
3.Printing
Insert the USB that stores the slicing files into the USB port on the left side of the printer. Or use the network to send the slicing file directly to the printer.
Enter the file management interface, select the file you want to print, and follow the steps to print.

Precautions
- Please make sure that the build platform is clean.
- Please make sure that there is no residue attached to the resin tank bottom.
- Resin can solidify when exposed directly to sunlight or indoor lighting.
- In environments that are too cold, there may be errors during the printing process (in winter, the printer must be preheated in advance)
- The printer must be installed on a flat surface and horizontally leveled. Resin tank and build platform need to be installed correctly.
- If the equipment is impacted during the printing process, there may be output failure or permanent damage to the equipment.
4.Post-processing
Removing
When the printing is complete, please remove the direct aligners from the platform. It is recommended to use a sharp spatula.
Centrifugation
Using a centrifuge to remove the residual liquid resins, do not use any alcohol or IPA for cleaning the direct aligner. As shown in the left image, there are hooks provided with the centrifuge. The hooks are for fixing the Direct Aligners to the basket. You can print the hooks yourself using a 3D printer and install the hooks as shown in the image below. Hang the printed aligners in the basket and make sure that the inside of the aligner is facing towards the wall of the basket. Carry out this process before detaching the Supports from the aligners. Without the Supports, the Direct Aligners may be damaged.
Cleaning
After centrifugation, check the condition of the Direct Aligners. If there is some residual resin still inside, clean it out with a cotton swab. If the residual resin is left inside of aligner, it may not fit with the teeth.
Remove support
If the Supports are created as instructed in this description, it can be easily removed by hand, or it can be removed using tools such as nippers.
Curing
Place the Direct Aligner with the incisal/occlusal edge facing up, as shown in the picture. Place the printed aligners on the reflective plate and place them in the curing machine. Set the nitrogen input and level 2, and cure for 20 mins. Before the 20 mins of nitrogen curing starts, the machine first needs 3 mins to fill the chamber with nitrogen. The curing time may depend on the shape and thickness of the aligner.

- If it is not curing well, the aligner looks yellow as shown on the right. There is a risk of allergies if the aligner is not fully cured.
- Immediately after curing is complete, the internal temperature of the curing machine is high. Open the curing machine door for approximately 20 minutes to lower the internal temperature and LED temperature. Ensure that all marked temperatures are below 25 degrees and proceed with curing.
Polishing
After the aligner has been cured, cool it down before polishing. With a handpiece (abrasive stone, rubber, etc.), simply trim the remaining part of the support and finish it.
Washing & Drying
The Direct Aligner needs to be washed twice. The first washing is placing the aligners in hot water ( 80 ˚C ~ 85 ˚C ) bath for 1 min with ultrasonic cleaning. After the first wash, rinse the aligners with running water. The second wash is placing the aligners in boiling water ( 100 ˚C ) for 1 min for cleaning and sterilizing. After the second wash, rinse the aligners with running water and dry them.
Packing
After drying, the Direct Aligner will be stored in a packaging container.
