Liquid resin
- Dispose of resin when it has become too contaminated to be filtered,
- has reached the end of its lifetime,
- or has otherwise been made unsuitable for use.
Disposal with a chemical waste stream
- To dispose of liquid resin that has not been cured or dissolved in a solvent, add it to your chemical waste stream in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Disposal without a chemical waste stream
To dispose of liquid resin:
- Put on a new, clean pair of nitrile gloves.
- Pour a small amount of resin into a labeled, transparent, resin-safe container.
- Leave the container exposed to sunlight to cure for 1–10 days. Expose
resin to 405 nm light and heat for the most effective curing. The liquid
resin cures to solid material when exposed to light and heat.
- Dispose of the fully cured resin and container as household waste.
NOTICE- Do not pour liquid or partially cured resin into drains or dispose of it with household waste.
- Do not pour solvent (IPA, TPM) that contains dissolved resin into drains
or dispose of it with household waste. Safe and appropriate disposal
methods of used solvent vary by location.
- To dispose of paper towels or other supplies that have come into contact with liquid resin, expose them to sunlight or UV light to cure the liquid resin and then dispose of them with household waste.
Cured resin
- Cleaned parts and cured resin cannot be recycled.
- Discard cleaned parts and cured (hardened) resin as household waste.
