how to adjust the size of printed part

how to adjust the size of printed part

This article applies to NBEE, SLASH 2 PLUS, NBEE D, NBEE H, NBEE J, UBEE

Not obtaining a good accuracy?

If the printed part size is bigger or smaller than the designed, we need to fine-tune the Scale X & Y for the size compensation.

Preparation

Calibration Tube: 15x15 Test Cube in Fig. 1 & a Vernier caliper in Fig. 2

Fig. 1

Fig.2

How to adjust

1. Measure the X & Y size of calibration cube

2. Calculate the compensation value with the formula
Formula: offset X = offset Y = 15.00*2/ ( X + Y )

Example:  When X=14.87mm,Y=14.86mm , offset X = offset Y = 15.00*2/ ( 14.87 + 14.86) = 1.009

Now, the printed size will be the same as the designed.
