NBEE build platform does not move up and down after restarting


Section 1: Symptoms

The build platform does not move up and down when printing, and can not be moved manually through Motor Control after restart, the motor is out of control.

Section 2: Possible Causes

Motor driver failure.

Section 3: Diagnostic Steps

  1. Restart the printer.


  2. In the Stand by interface, quickly click the green button 5 times to enter the factory mode，then use the MOTOR UP and MOTOR DOWN functions.
     

  3. If the build platform is moving, it means that the motor driver is normal. 

  4. If the build platform does not move, disassemble the left side shell and check the two (2) motor driver indicator lights. The corresponding functions of the indicator light status are as follows:
    ▶ There are two LED indicators, 1 green and 1 red.
    ▶ The green light should always be ON.
    ▶ The red light goes out when the motor is working, and stays ON when it stops.
    ▶ Do not touch or change the gear switch on the side of the driver.
    ▶ If the indicators status is abnormal, the motor driver is broken and needs to be replaced.
       
  5. Replace the motor driver.

    ▶ When wiring the motor driver, do not insert the power wire and control wire in the wrong position to avoid burning the driver.

Conclusion

The motor driver is a key component that directly controls the movement of the motor. If it is damaged, the motor will not move. Its repairability is low, if it fails please contact UNIZ support directly for replacement.
