Huge additional cured layer

Huge additional cured layer

Phenomenon

In addition to the model, there are also other printing results.
The LCD test result shows some vertical lines, and the phenomenon persists after restarting the printer.

Possible causes

During the previous printings, the LCD screen was pressed and damaged by some solids left on the build platform surface or in the resin tank, causing the vertical lines on the screen.

Diagnosis

1.     Turn on the printer, enter TOOLS, select LCD TEST to check the LCD screen status.
If there are some additional vertical lines appeared besides the UNIZ logo, that means the LCD screen is
damaged , and needs to be replaced.

2.     Solution: Replace the LCD screen.

Preparation:

a)       A new LCD screen.

b)      Cleaning dust-free-cloth

c)       Shading tape

d)      Screen protector

e)       Power off the printer before operation

Conclusion

The screen vertical lines issue typically due to the external pressure on the screen during printing. We strongly recommend that you ensure the build platform and resin tank are clean both before and after each printing job, with no leftover models, cured resin, or other residues. Especially after print failure, need to perform an exposure cleaning.
