Preparing your workspace for the UCure and UWash

This article applies to Finishing, UCure and UWash.

Before receiving your device, prepare a space to install and operate the UWash and UCure as well as house the necessary accessories and consumables. Choose a location separate from any machinery or tooling that generates dust or sparks, such as wood or metal working equipment.

Workspace requirements

Reserve the following minimum dimensions for the most convenient access (W × D × H):
UWash: 55 × 55 × 55 cm (22× 22 × 22 in)
UCure: 55 × 55 × 55 cm (22× 22 × 22 in)
Additional space for other devices and post-processing tools (e.g., NBEE, SLASH 2 PLUS, or Uniz-approved third-party devices)
 
The UWash requires a power source that meets the following requirements:
Input (NA): 110 VAC, 60 Hz, 3 A max
Input (EU): 220 VAC, 50 Hz, 3 A max
 
The UCure requires a power source that meets the following requirements:
Input: 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz, 10 A max
 

Additional supplies

Aside from the contents of the package, you need additional supplies to post-process your printed parts. Prepare your workspace by purchasing them in advance:
  1. Isopropyl alcohol (91% or higher) 
  1. Low-fiber paper towels
  1. Non-abrasive microfiber cloth
  1. Non-reactive nitrile gloves
  1. PEC*PADs
  1. Safety glasses
