Why Upgrade?

1. UNIZ R&D team continues to optimize product functions and features, and will upgrade and optimize the printer host computer (software) and printer (Firmware_SYS). In order to experience better product features, you can optionally upgrade.

Preparation before upgrading

1. Check the firmware version and make sure it matches the corresponding UI. Please refer to the tutorial for how to check the firmware version: How to check firmware (SYS version) and UI version
   

Note: Upgrade the firmware first, then upgrade the UI to avoid any malfunction.

1. Make sure the printer is connected to the network and the network signal is stable. If you are connected to Wi-Fi, you can check whether the network is stable by checking the signal grid on the right up corner of Wi-Fi icon.
   
2. If the printer network has just been successfully connected, you need to wait for at least 1 minute (the printer establishes communication with the server) before performing the upgrade operation.

SYS 4.4 and later firmware versions

1. Make sure the UPGRADE  icon is blue (activated).
   
Note: After the printer is connected to the Internet, the upgrade file is automatically downloaded from the cloud server and stored in the printer. After the upgrade status is displayed in blue, whether printer is connected to the Internet does not affect the upgrade.

Operational Process

Firmware versions prior to SYS 4.4

1. Click the UPGRADE button;
   
   
   
2. Click to confirm the upgrade;
   
   
   
3. The following status indicates that the upgrade is in progress, please do not turn off the power;
   
   
   
4. The status shown below means that the version is already the latest, or communication with the server has not been established. Please check whether the network is stable or try changing the network;
   
   
   
5. If the status below appears, it means the upgrade failed. You need to click the upgrade button again;
   
   
   
6. The status shown below indicates that the upgrade is successful. At this time, you can restart the printer;
   
   
   
7. Check the version number after the machine restarts. At this time, the version number is the version number of the printer after the upgrade;
   
   
   
8. The firmware upgrade process is completed and you can start upgrading the corresponding UI version, please refer to the link for the UI upgrade tutorial: How to do UI upgrade and precautions.

SYS 4.4 and later firmware versions

1. Click the UPGRADE button;
   
   
   
2. Click to confirm the upgrade;

5. The status shown below indicates that the upgrade is successful. At this time, you can restart the printer;
   
   
   
6. Check the version number after the machine restarts. At this time, the version number is the version number of the printer after the upgrade;
