Why are these considerations so important?
Ensuring proper printing precautions is essential for achieving successful prints and maintaining the longevity of your 3D printer. These precautions help prevent print failures, ensure print quality, and prolong the lifespan of printer components. By following these guidelines diligently, you can optimize the performance of your printer and produce high-quality prints consistently.
Before printing
- Place the printer on a stable floor and level it to a stable level. All four feet must be placed on a solid surface to ensure optimal printing accuracy. You can push the printer slightly to see if it moves. If it does, continue to adjust it until it stops.
check printer stability - Ensure that the screen and screen protector film are in working condition, with the screen functioning normally and free from any anomalies such as black spots or stripes and screen protector on Screen. The screen protector film should be kept clean and can be cleaned using a lint-free cloth dampened with alcohol.
- Make sure the resin tank is in working condition. Check the resin tank to see if there are any punctures, holes, cuts, wrinkles or scratches on the film. Replace them immediately if found.
- Ensure that the resin in the resin tank is in working condition. Use a paper or plastic scraper to check whether there is any residue in the tank. If there is any, perform exposure cleaning to remove them. Scrape the residue in the resin tank toward the LCD curing area (exposure cleaning area), that is, let the residue in the corners of the resin tank gather into the exposure cleaning area to clean.
Do not scrape the resin tank with metal with sharp edges. - Ensure that the build platform is in working condition and make sure it is clean and free from any residues. If not, see Cleaning the Build Platform
- Make sure the build platform and resin tank are locked and kept clean
- Shake the resin bottle before each print, or stir the resin in the resin tank to ensure the resin is thoroughly mixed. Resin FAQ & tips
- Do not over- pour the resin to avoid overflow, the resin tank can hold up to 400ml of resin. Not too little, it is recommended not less than 100 ml
- When the workplace is at low temperature and the indoor temperature is below 18 degrees, it is recommended to turn on the preheating function or air conditioning .
- Make sure the slice file is sliced correctly.
- Choose the correct printer and resin material, including selecting the corresponding indications and parameters (flat or vertical printing, solid or hollow model, placement method, support parameters)
- Close the upper front cover to avoid potential problems.
close the front cover
During printing
- Avoid moving or shaking the printer during printing.
- If the power is accidentally cut off during printing, you can restart the printer, open the front cover, enter the tool interface and click the motor to rise, clean the build platform and resin tank before printing next time.
- During the initial phase of printing (start from the movement of build platform), if you notice any printed parts or residue on the build platform or resin tank that you've forgotten to clean, immediately cut off the power and follow Protocol Two. Please avoid using the "STOP" button on the touchscreen, as this will still lower the build platform to complete the first layer, potentially causing damage to the LCD screen module.
After printing
- Clean the build platform after each print , using a scraper to remove residue, then wipe clean with kitchen paper or a lint-free cloth moistened with alcohol or IPA. Clean the build platform
- Clean any liquid from outside the resin tank and the print area (column) .
- Perform exposure cleaning after each failed print to clean the resin and resin tank. Perform Exposure Cleaning
- If the resin will not be used within the next 24 hours, it is recommended to recycle the resin. Reclaim resin in the resin tank
- If the resin is stored in the resin tank, it is recommended to cover the front cover of the printer or apply the resin tank cover on the resin tank.
- Use a lint-free cloth and alcohol to clean the resin tank.
Conclusion
Through the above introduction, you should understand importance of following the protocol and precautions before, during and after printing to achieve a smoothful print with success. If you have any questions, please contact
