Resin Filtration

Resin Filtration

Why need to do resin filtration
After a print failure, there are cured layers and/or particles left in the resin tank, and it's difficult to clean up. Resin filtration is needed to remove contamination and residues to protect the LCD screen from being pressed and get better printing results in the future prints.

Required tools

  1. Paint or oil filter with 80-200 mesh
  2. Plastic container
  3. Nitrile gloves

Operation steps

  1. Place the filter over the plastic container.
  2. Wear gloves to remove the resin tank from the printer and set it aside on a protected surface.
  3. Hold the edge of the tank, taking care not to touch the tank’s optical window or tank film.
  4. Pour the resin through the filter into the opaque container. Pay attention to the flow rate to prevent resin overflow.
  5. Once all resin passes through the filter, pour the resin back into the resin tank or the resin original bottle.
